After six years of propaganda, false narratives, and hysteria by Western governments and their media mouthpieces regarding the push for direct war with Syria, it seems the Western narrative is now shifting to the tried-and-true method that proved itself during the second invasion of Iraq in 2003. That is, that Syria still has chemical weapons even after allowing inspectors into the country and that its “weapons of mass destruction” are being used against civilians. It’s a tired bit of propaganda but, unfortunately, like most propaganda narratives, it works on many Americans.

Before the dust settled on Khan Skeykhoun, the United States had used the alleged chemical attack that took place there as the justification for a launch of 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at the al-Sha’aryat airbase in Syria. Even as the missiles were heading toward their target, it was clear that something was not right with the official U.S. government story regarding the incident. In fact, when considering all the evidence, it was clear that the Syrian military had nothing to do with the actual attack. Even more so, there were even questions regarding whether or not the attack actually took place.

After the bombings, as more and more evidence came to light, it became so obvious that the Syrian government had nothing to do with the attacks that any further reference to Khan Sheykhoun should now conjure up memories of an American empire looking for any reason to launch attacks against Syria, so much so that it is ready to slaughter children under the guise of seeking revenge for the killing of children.

Now, however, there is little doubt left as to whether or not the Syrian government was involved in the attack since one of the West’s proxy terrorists recently confessed to taking part in the staging of the attack to be blamed on the Syrian government.’

‘Nearly two dozen civilians have lost their lives when the US-led coalition purportedly fighting the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group carried out an aerial attack against an area in Syria’s eastern province of Dayr al-Zawr near the border with Iraq, a monitoring group says.

The so-called Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said the airstrike targeted the city of Abu Kamal on the Euphrates River at around 3 a.m. local time (0100 GMT) on Monday.

The group noted that some of those killed in the strike were civilians displaced from both Syria’s militant-held northern province of Raqqah and neighboring Iraq.

The development came less than two days after a US-led aerial attack in Raqqah Province killed 12 women.

The SOHR said the Sunday afternoon strike had hit vehicles carrying farm workers home from fields in the east of the province.’

‘For those of us who covered the build-up to the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, there is a terrifying sense of deja vu as another ‘Coalition of the Willing’ gears up to launch a potentially devastating wave of shock-and-awe in the Middle East.

That is certainly one worst-case interpretation of the comments made yesterday by the US ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley.
Confirming a remarkable U-turn in the Trump administration’s stance on Syria, she said that removing President Bashar al-Assad was now a ‘priority’.

Fourteen years ago we heard similar shrill calls from political leaders for regime change in Iraq, a country that – whether or not it used chemical weapons on its own people – posed no discernible threat to the national security of our own.’

I want you to watch this video, so that you know what you’re up against. We aren’t dealing with rational people. Here is the Senator from South Carolina, a man with great power in this country, telling Tucker Carlson with a straight face that taking out Saddam was a good idea. Additionally, he said taking out Libya was a good idea. Now he wants to take out Assad, because ‘he’s killing his own people.’

It’s called a civil war, actually, and he wasn’t killing anyone until American sponsored ISIS invaded his country.

US President Donald Trump’s decision to launch a missile strike on the Syrian military after an alleged chemical attack in Idlib brings back a series of tweets from 2013, when Trump urged then-President Obama not to go into Syria in a similar situation.

Back in 2013, Donald Trump, who was a real estate mogul and reality TV star before becoming president, strongly and repeatedly opposed then-President Barak Obama’s intention to go into war with Syria after chemical attacks were blamed on Syrian government troops. The escalation was defused at the time when the Syrian government gave up its chemical munitions stockpiles, and Obama backed down.

However, today’s President Trump seems to be doing everything Trump-2013 criticized Obama for.

‘This week is the 6th anniversary of the beginning of the Syrian conflict. Despite the mounting evidence and the collapse Washington and London’s failed project, many liberal ‘humanitarian interventionists’ in the West are still clinging to the imaginary storyline of ‘freedom fighters’ in Syria battling against an evil authoritarian tyrant in their fragile bid to preserve their dream of a progressive liberal democratic future in the Middle East. A fairy tale for the ages…

From the beginning of hostilities in 2011, the US, UK, France, the EU, Turkey, Jordan, Israel and the Gulf monarchies, led by Saudi Arabia and Qatar – have all been pumping the fraudulent narrative of a ‘Syrian Revolution’, which was meant to be the latest peaceful instalment of the fabled ‘Arab Spring.’ This ornate lie was refined and recycled across all US mainstream, European and Gulf media outlets for the last 6 years, custom designed to give the false impression that “Assad is a brutal dictator” – and just justifying Western and Gulf-backing of religious extremist militants, followed by a protracted US-led ‘Coalition’ bombing campaign in Syria (all of which have been illegal under international law, and US law for that matter).
In truth, US-led plans to overthrown the Syrian government and reshape the country along sectarian lines goes way back…’

| 06 Dec 2016 | The Russian Foreign Ministry has criticized western leaders after none appeared to condemn the shelling of a mobile Russian hospital by militants in Syria. Two Russian medics were killed after around a dozen of shells hit the facility in Aleppo. “On December 5, a Russian military medic died as a mortar shell fired by militants directly hit the reception ward of a Russian mobile military hospital set up in Aleppo. Two medical specialists were also severely injured and one of them later died,” the ministry said. “However, no words of condemnation can be heard from western capitals,” it added, criticizing western governments for their “politicized approach” to the assessment of the situation in Syria.

‘To the vast majority of Americans, the Syrian crisis (as well as the state of affairs in Iraq, Libya, Yemen, etc.) is merely a distant blip on a cluttered radar screen. Competing with issues affecting an individual’s daily life like wages, taxes, and free trade, that small portion of the American population who hasn’t completely zoned out of the political and current-events sphere is increasingly overtaken with the necessities of survival.

Those who are able to devote enough time to the Syrian crisis are confronted with an unprecedented onslaught of propaganda demonizing the Syrian government and the Syrian president as “killing his own people,” “brutal,” and “genocidal.” The Syrian people are also victims of the propaganda war as being obsessed with religion, divided, and opposed to their government.’

‘There is a curious coincidence of a remark Secretary of State Kerry made to Syrian opposition activists and a new paint scheme applied to some U.S. military jets.

October 1 2016: Kerry in leaked audio: ‘I lost the argument’ for use of force in Syria

Washington (CNN) Secretary of State John Kerry’s frustration with the failure of American diplomacy was on display as he defended US efforts to help end the five-year civil war in Syria during a meeting last week with a group of Syrian civilians, according to an audio recording obtained by CNN.

Kerry’s comments came at a meeting that took place at the Dutch Mission to the United Nations on the sidelines the UN General Assembly, where Kerry was going from session to session in a frenzied effort to resuscitate a ceasefire that seemed poised to collapse.’

Since 2013, mainstream media outlets have been flooded with images supplied by a western and Gulf-backed ‘NGO’. With each successive image, indignant western officials continue their calls for another ‘humanitarian’ military intervention in Syria.

In the following video, we’re told that the White Helmets aka “Syria Civil Defense” are frantically digging for survivors at the scene of an alleged “Assad barrel bomb,” or possibly a “Russian or Syrian air-strike.” Either way, it’s impossible to independently verify exactly what the audience is looking at. Same with the location and time – this scene might be somewhere in northern Syria, presumably in “rebel-held” (occupied by terrorists like Al Nusra, Arar Al Sham, Nour al din Zinki, or ISIS) enclaves like Idlib or East Aleppo, but like most White Helmet videos – it’s impossible to independently verify either the time or location of the event in question.

‘The US has no role to play in bringing peace to Syria, because Washington has been the main architect of the war in Syria, a political commentator has told Press TV.

“The US has seemingly backed the so-called moderate rebels to attack the Syrian government forces since 2011 but the fact is that the American weapons have gone into the hands of terrorist groups,” Joe Iosbaker said on Saturday.

The so-called Free Syrian Army, he said, have mostly joined forces with al-Qaeda and Daesh after losing their war against the Syrian government, while the US continues supplying them with weapons.’

| 22 Sept 2016 | Syrian President Bashar Assad says that US airstrikes which killed 62 Syrian government troops were “intentional” and they lasted for an hour. He added that the US “does not have the will” to join Russia in fighting terrorists in Syria. Speaking to the Associated Press in Damascus, the Syrian leader denied that the airstrikes carried out by the US near Deir ez-Zor on September 17 were an accident. Sixty-two Syrian soldiers were killed and over 100 were injured, according to the Syrian military. Assad said they were “intentionally” targeted. “It was not an accident by one airplane; it was four airplanes which kept attacking the position of the Syrian troops for nearly one hour or maybe a little bit more than one hour,” Assad told AP…
